Indoor Family Fun in Louisville

Indoor Family Fun

Is Cabin Fever getting the best of you? Don’t stay home to avoid the cold, snow, or rain! There are plenty of fun INDOOR things to do in Louisville with your family. You may even be surprised by the amount of free things to do. If you have younger children like me, they will love making new memories and experiences with you.

Story time at the Library: We try to visit the library weekly for story time as these are kid-friendly FREE events. Day and time varies by location so check out the Louisville Public Library website for the Events Calendar. Some of the libraries offer play spaces, and the kids always learn a new song or skill during our visits. In addition to learning, they’re able to socialize with other kiddos their age so it’s a win-win.

Trampoline Park: Another favorite activity of ours is jumping at the trampoline park because there are some days where the girl’s energy is never ending. This is a sure way of getting the wiggles out, and a guaranteed nap ;) There are three in our area: House of Boom, Altitude Trampoline Park, and SkyZone.  If you have kiddos younger than school age, I highly suggest jumping during Toddler Time to keep them safe from bigger kids, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how empty the facilities are. My girls love when there are only a few other families there because they can just bounce around without a care in the world.

All About Kids Funzone: This cool Oldham County treasure offers inflatables, a pool, basketball courts, and gymnastics equipment.

Open Gym: The Kentucky Gymnastics Academy opens their doors for kids ages 1-5 for fun, play, and exploring. Parents participate and the whole family can run, jump, and tumble.

We hope to see you out and about enjoying all that Louisville has to offer. Do you have a favorite winter indoor activity? We'd love to hear about it!
